SUMMARY:2’-Fucosyllactose (2FL) – the crucial role of a trisaccharide found in human milk
DESCRIPTION:2’-Fucosyllactose (2FL) – the crucial role of a trisaccharide found in human milk \nGood health starts in the gut\, and when gut health has been identified as a key area to address\, some people will respond quickly to targeted interventions\, including dietary change\, the use of fermented foods\, supplementation with beneficial bacteria and gut healing nutrients. Yet others do not respond as you might expect\, and there seems to be a missing link when targeted changes fail to result in improvements. \n\nMieke Van Den Driessche will take a closer look at an underlying genetic polymorphism\, estimated to affect around 20% of the population\, which may help to explain why some people don’t respond to targeted interventions; and will introduce 2’-Fucosyllactose\, a trisaccharide found naturally in human milk and now produced via fermentation for use in supplement form\, that may provide the missing nutritional link for many. \n\nMieke Van Den Driessche is a doctor of Biomedical Sciences\, a title she obtained at the University of Louvain in December 2001. Five years earlier\, she obtained the degree of Master in Nutrition and Dietetics and in 1993\, she graduated in biochemistry with a major in biotechnology. During her doctorate\, Mieke was a research assistant at the department of Paediatric Gastroenterology & Nutrition. Mieke Van Den Driessche is appointed Science Director at Metagenics Europe. She is responsible for all scientific aspects of the company management concerning communication\, applications and trainings\, quality control\, R&D and Regulatory Affairs. \nThursday 5th March 10:30am-11:30am \nLink to book place:- \nhttps://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/386351198392784141 \nIf you have missed this to listen back go to: https://www.nutriadvanced.co.uk/library/video-library/free-webinars.html
